Welcome to Resource Teacher's Guide

We’re Shonnee and Jenny. Between us we’ve taught general education, taught special education in resource classrooms, and coached other special education teachers for our district.

As resource teachers, we always struggled to find programs that were scaffolded and outlined in a way that would meet the needs of our students with learning disabilities. We wanted programs that were structured, but not so structured that we couldn’t be flexible with our diverse learners.

That’s why we created Resource Teacher’s Guide.

What you’ll find here

Our programs are built on research-based principles. They’re designed so that you, the special education teacher, can use your own data to decide how quickly or slowly to move through each one. We hope they serve as a base pathway that helps your students progress toward grade-level skills.
