Teachers. Coaches. Resource Teachers. Just Like You.

We're Shonnee and Jenny, experienced educators who have both taught special education and coached other special educators.

Why we made this

Built by resource teachers, for resource teachers.

As resource teachers, we always struggled to find programs that were scaffolded and outlined in a way that would meet the needs of our students with learning disabilities. We were always looking for programs that were structured, but not so structured we couldn't be flexible with our diverse learners.

This is why we created Resource Teacher's Guide. Our programs are created using research-based principles and designed so that you, as the special education teacher, can use your data to decide how quickly or slowly to move through the program.

We hope our programs serve their intended purpose: to be a base pathway that helps your students quickly progress toward grade-level skills.

    Shonnee was a mild to moderate special education (resource) teacher for 7 years and a Special Education Teacher Leader, simply put a special education coach, for her district for 2 years. She chose to become a stay-at-home mom and started this company with her amazing cofounder, Jenny.

    Cofounder · Special education teacher and mom of 4

    Jenny is a mom of 4. She was a general education teacher for 3 years, a special education teacher for 5 years, and a Special Education Teacher Leader for 8 years. She has since returned to the classroom and is loving it!

Both of us hold bachelor's degrees, and Jenny has completed additional training and college courses throughout her career. We're always learning, researching, and keeping up with the latest research.

We're big believers in using research-based principles to dig down to the root of problems, build foundational skills, and then move students toward grade-level curriculum using direct, explicit, scaffolded, and open-ended tasks.
